DOROMATIC was founded in 1951, and established itself quickly as a quality manufacturer of reliable products. In 1953, DOROMATIC invented the hydraulically operated automatic door operator for pedestrian doors. It soon branched off into belt and chain driven sliding doors. When the competition began to pull away with newer innovative designs they hired a fresh group on engineers to redesign their doors. Thus the 96k was born and ultimately sealed their fate. With a multitude of design flaws it quickly lead to the demise of their sliding door business. Nevertheless tens of thousands of their doors are still in service today. With a solid foundation they are easy to work on and service. The majority of parts are still available today and are highly reliable and well engineered.
While some of the control boxes and motor/gearboxes for sliding doors are only available as "rebuilt" the majority of wear items and replacement parts for both sliding and swinging doors are brand new. We have a large selection of all these parts available for shipment today. Find what you need and order it today!
